Minister Urges Chartered Accountants to Commit Fully to Digital Transformation and AI


Rabat: Speaking at the opening of the 10th Congress of the Order of Chartered Accountants (OEC), Seghrouchni stressed that AI is already transforming the accounting profession, as it is directly impacted by the AI revolution. “It enables the automated processing of invoices and accounting documents thanks to OCR (optical character recognition) and learning algorithms, which frees staff from repetitive tasks so they can focus on consulting, strategic support, and performance analysis,” she explained.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the minister affirmed that digitalization paves the way forward, but that the integration of AI has now become essential for modernizing services and meeting citizens’ expectations. This 10th OEC Congress, placed under the banner of digital transformation and talent development, is thus part of a forward-looking dynamic aimed at strengthening the contribution of chartered accountants to national debates.
