Ministry of Health condemns kidnapping of patient by an Israeli special force in Hebron


HEBRON: The Ministry of Health condemned the kidnapping of a patient by an Israeli special force while he was receiving medical treatment in Halhul, north of Hebron.

The ministry said in a statement that at midnight last night, an Israeli special force in civilian clothes stormed President Mahmoud Abbas Hospital, raided the internal medicine department, and kidnapped the patient, Ayham Al-Saadi.

The Director General of Hospitals, Haitham Al-Hadri, added that the patient was receiving treatment in an isolation room, and his health condition was critical, after undergoing four operations, He also suffered from seven fractures in the lower limbs.

Al-Hadri pointed out that the patient suffers from severe emaciation and weight loss, stressing that kidnapping the patient poses an imminent danger to his life.

Al-Hadry warned of the danger of the occupation’s repeated storming and besieging of hospitals, which is inconsistent with all international conventions and norms, which stipulate the protection of medical
and health personnel, facilities, and patients.
