Moroccan Airports Welcome Over 22 Mln Passengers in Seven Months


Morocco: Morocco’s airports welcomed a total of 22,282,997 passengers during the first seven months of 2026, an increase of 8.77% compared with the same period in 2025, according to Airports of Morocco (formerly the National Airports Office – ONDA).

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this total is divided on international air traffic (+8.82% to 19,894,489 passengers), and national air traffic (+8.36% to 2,388,508 passengers), based on Airports of Morocco statistics on commercial air traffic for July 2026.

Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca recorded 6,953,695 passengers, followed by Marrakech-Menara Airport with 6,407,303 passengers, Agadir-Al Massira Airport with 2,179,857 passengers, Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport with 1,711,764 passengers, and Rabat-Salé Airport with 1,446,355 passengers, according to the same source.

International air traffic was notably driven by the performance of the European market, which remained the leading source of passengers, with 16,541,007 travelers, represent
ing an annual increase of 9.29%.

The South American, North American, and African markets also recorded increases, with the South American market up by 34.21% to 62,880 passengers, North American up by 14.54% to 581,297 passengers, and the African market up by 13.74% to 1,175,674 passengers. Traffic with Maghreb countries increased by 10.06% to 295,188 passengers.

Meanwhile, Moroccan airports recorded 164,164 aircraft movements by the end of July 2026, representing an annual increase of 9.82%. Mohammed V International Airport accounted for 55,223 movements, ahead of Marrakech-Menara with 42,028 movements and Agadir-Al Massira with 15,009 movements.

For its part, air freight reached 66,980.55 tons during the first seven months of the year, marking an increase of 12.61% compared with the same period in 2025.

In July 2026 alone, Moroccan airports welcomed 3,450,846 passengers.
