Moroccan Community Plays Key Role in Strengthening Morocco-Belgium Ties


Brussels: Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita has highlighted the essential role of the Moroccan community in Belgium in enhancing the bilateral relations between Morocco and Belgium. Speaking at a joint press conference with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxime Pr©vot, Bourita emphasized the community’s significant influence in fostering human, economic, and cultural connections between Rabat and Brussels.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Bourita stated that the Moroccan community in Belgium is a collective heritage that must be safeguarded against any external manipulation. He noted their considerable contributions to Belgian society in various sectors, praising their impact on the country’s economic, social, and cultural vitality.



The Foreign Minister acknowledged the successes of Moroccans in Belgium, particularly in entrepreneurship, research, the arts, and sports, while maintaining a strong connection to their roots and homeland. This community, he noted, exemplifies successful integration and serves as a crucial link between Moroccan and Belgian societies.



Bourita’s remarks come at a time when Morocco and Belgium are striving to establish a model of cooperation on migration, grounded in shared responsibility, solidarity, and mutual respect.
