Moroccan & Japanese Museums Explore Promising Cultural Cooperation

Rabat: The National Foundation of Museums (FNM) hosted a Japanese delegation on Monday to lay the groundwork for a promising and sustainable partnership between Morocco and Japan.

It aims to organize joint exhibitions that will showcase the cultural heritage of both nations. The FNM stated that this collaboration will involve training programs, particularly in the field of textiles, and explore new avenues for cooperation, similar to initiatives with institutions such as the National Museum of Modern Art – Centre Pompidou in France, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofa in Spain, and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Russia.

The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to enhance international cultural exchanges. FNM teams emphasized the progress Morocco has achieved in the museum sector, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. They also expressed their ambition to expand partnerships with prominent cultural institutions worldwide.

Japanese representatives praised the richness and diversity of Morocco’s cultural heritage and the efforts made to preserve and promote it to both national and international audiences.
