France’s support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara represents “a commitment to a stronger friendship with the Kingdom”, Argentinian academic Juan José Vagni said.
Paris’ decision is also motivated by the fact that Morocco represents a “reliable partner of France in North Africa”, the professor-researcher at the National University of Cordoba told MAP.
Juan Vagni underlined that this “concrete signal” given by France coincides with the celebrations of the Throne Day and the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI.
Beyond its close relations with France, “Morocco enjoys great reputation in Europe, particularly economically. The Kingdom stands out, in fact, for its quality of reliable partner” for Europeans, the specialist in Mediterranean issues at the Argentinian Council for Scientific and Technical Research stressed.
