Morocco and Eswatini Explore Parliamentary Partnership in Rabat


Rabat: Morocco’s Lower House Speaker Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks on Thursday in Rabat with a high-level delegation from Eswatini, led by HRH Princess Sibahle Dlamini, on the strengthening of ties between the two countries’ legislative institutions.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, both parties underscored the importance of exchanging and sharing expertise, particularly in the field of public spending and finance control, coordinating in said field, and exploring the best practices. The talks also focused on the good ties uniting the two Kingdoms and the major institutional projects launched by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.



Discussions highlighted the peculiarities of the Moroccan parliamentary experience under the 2011 Constitution and its role in monitoring public spending, as well as its relationship to the Court of Accounts. The delegation was composed of the President of the National Public Service Commission, Mamba Simangaliso; the Auditor General of the Kingdom, Timothy Matsebula, and other officials from the Parliament, Public Prosecutor’s Office, and Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of Eswatini.
