Rabat: The Moroccan Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion, and Family, Naima Ben Yahia, recently met with the Nigerien Minister of Population, Social Action, and National Solidarity, Sidikou Ramatou Djermakoye Seyni, to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in social action. The discussions centered on reinforcing collaborative efforts and exchanging experiences in areas of mutual interest.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Djermakoye Seyni highlighted that the meeting was part of a working visit to Morocco, designed to fortify the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between Morocco and Niger. She noted that the session offered a valuable opportunity to delve into the various domains of cooperation between the two ministries, with a particular focus on women’s empowerment, child protection, and support for vulnerable populations. Djermakoye Seyni remarked that both Niger and Morocco share common goals regarding the well-being of their citizens and the strengthening of social actions.
Ben Yahia emphasized the meeting as a reflection of the robust friendship and cooperative ties between the two nations, facilitating a productive exchange on Morocco’s social projects. She elaborated on the initiatives spearheaded by the Kingdom, particularly those targeting citizens in need of special attention and support.
The Moroccan minister also underscored significant social programs initiated under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which are aimed at enhancing family cohesion and ensuring a dignified life for all citizens. These programs focus on integrated approaches to social protection, the rights of women and children, and economic empowerment.
Additionally, Ben Yahia shared that the Nigerien delegation was informed about the various social mechanisms and initiatives executed by the ministry in collaboration with partner institutions and civil society organizations.
