Niamey: Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita was received in an audience on Wednesday in Niamey by General Abdourahamane Tiani, President of the Republic of Niger, Head of State.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during the meeting, Bourita conveyed the brotherly greetings of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to the Nigerien President. He also extended the Sovereign’s best wishes for the well-being of the brotherly people of Niger.

The President of the Republic of Niger expressed gratitude towards His Majesty the King, appreciating the tangible acts of solidarity shown toward Niger. He also acknowledged the commendable regional initiatives led by Morocco for fostering development and stability in the Sahel region.

The audience occurred alongside the 5th Morocco-Niger Joint Cooperation Commission, which was held in Niamey. The commission convened under the co-chairmanship of Nasser Bourita and Bakary Yaou Sangar©, Niger’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Nigeriens Abroad.
