Morocco-France Economic Forum Kicks Off in Dakhla

Dakhla: Organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), the Morocco-France Economic Forum aims to bolster the bilateral economic partnership and identify new synergies between the Moroccan and French business communities. The high-level meeting is being held through the France-Morocco Business Leaders Club.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the forum focuses on key areas such as the Royal Atlantic Initiative, food security, energy transition and decarbonization, along with tourism and training. Several economic leaders and institutional officials from the two countries are participating, alongside representatives from both public and private organizations.

The event follows the state visit by President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco and continues the momentum initiated in Rabat in 2024, where numerous economic agreements were signed. For CGEM and MEDEF, selecting Dakhla as the location underscores the strategic importance of the Moroccan South and its potential role as an economic hub connecting Europe and Africa.
