Paris: Morocco will be the guest of honor at the Paris Book Festival, to be held at the Grand Palais from April 11 to 13, as announced Thursday by French Culture Minister Rachida Dati. “I am delighted and honored to see Morocco take part in this year’s Paris Book Festival as the country of honor,” said Dati at a press conference attended by His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to France, Samira Sitail.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this major cultural event will celebrate the Kingdom with a program that reflects its literature. Morocco will be represented by a pavilion inspired by the theme of the sea, symbolizing both the country’s maritime heritage and its commitment to a sustainable, innovative future.
Alongside writers and artists drawing their inspiration from Moroccan literature, book professionals, publishers, translators, and cultural players will also be on hand to discuss the developments and prospects for books in Morocco.
