Morocco, Jordan to Bolster Digital Transition Cooperation


Rabat: Morocco’s Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni held talks on Wednesday at the Dead Sea (Jordan) with Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat, on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of digital transition.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the discussions, attended by Ambassador of Morocco to Jordan Fouad Akhrif, provided an opportunity to examine partnership prospects and bolster cooperation between the two countries in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and start-ups. The two officials emphasized the need to enhance coordination with a view to increasing coordination and exchanging expertise and experience.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of Seghrouchni’s participation in the 4th General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) held in Jordan, the two parties expressed their satisfaction at the advanced ties betw
een the Kingdom of Morocco and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In addition, the two sides focused on enhancing these ties to meet the expectations of the two peoples and the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His brother HM King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.
