Rabat:Morocco has maintained its position as Africa’s top nation in the latest FIFA world futsal rankings. The country holds steady at sixth place in the men’s category, while experiencing a drop to 26th in the women’s rankings.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Morocco’s men’s futsal team gained 10.77 points, securing its sixth-place position globally and leading the African rankings. Egypt follows in 41st place, having dropped one position, with Libya in 52nd, climbing one spot.

In the women’s rankings, Morocco fell two places to 26th and lost 14.36 points. Despite this drop, the team remains the leading African nation, ahead of Tanzania, which climbed to 73rd, and Senegal, now in 81st place.

Globally, Brazil continues to top both the men’s and women’s futsal rankings. Portugal ranks second in the men’s and third in the women’s categories, while Spain is third in the men’s and second in the women’s rankings. The Top 10 has remained unchanged in both categories since May 2026.

Croatia made the lar
gest advancement in the women’s rankings, moving up three places to 32nd. In the men’s rankings, Zambia rose four places to 82nd, marking the biggest positional improvement. Vietnam achieved the highest points increase in the men’s rankings, gaining 19.5 points to reach 20th place.

FIFA has announced that the next update for the futsal world rankings will be released on December 11, 2026.
