Morocco Participates in UNESCO MONDIACULT Conference in Mexico City

The Moroccan delegation to this event is led by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid.
The focus will be on the Moroccan experience in cultural policies and ways to develop cooperation with participating countries.
On the sidelines of this conference, Bensaid met Monday his Mexican counterpart, Alejandra Guerrero. The two sides signed a letter of intent to strengthen bilateral relations in the cultural field, including that of heritage and performing arts.
The minister also held a meeting with Francisco Cervantes Diaz, President of the Business Coordination Council of Mexico.
The meeting was an opportunity to recall the importance of strengthening economic and cultural cooperation, including investments in the cultural field, especially in the film and creative industries.
The UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development was convened by UNESCO forty years after the first MONDIACULT Conference held in Mexico City (Mexico) in 1982, and 24 years after the MONDIACULT Conference held in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1998.
According to its organizers, MONDIACULT 2022 is about shaping the future of culture. More than a hundred Ministers of Culture, together with intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and actors across the cultural sector will, together, bring culture to the front of the international stage.
