Rabat: Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, has established itself as a model of modernization and development, according to the Director General of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, Mar Ahumada Sánchez. In a statement made to MAP in connection with Throne Day, Ahumada Sánchez highlighted the significant reforms and modernization efforts that have marked the Kingdom since the King’s accession to the Throne.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Ahumada Sánchez emphasized the unprecedented dynamic of reforms that have been crucial in enhancing Morocco’s economic appeal, improving its development metrics, and boosting its influence on both regional and international fronts. The Kingdom’s investments in infrastructure, including highways, airports, railways, and ports, have bolstered foreign trade and increased international investor interest.

In addition to infrastructure, Morocco has diversified its economy by focusing on high value-added sectors such as the automotive indu
stry, aeronautics, renewable energies, and logistics. These efforts have positioned Morocco as a leading economic and industrial hub.

The Director General noted the progress in social sectors, particularly in health, education, and women’s empowerment. The cultural and sports sectors have also seen significant growth, with an increase in festivals and artistic endeavors, as well as notable achievements in sports at both continental and international levels.

Highlighting Morocco’s international standing, Ahumada Sánchez stated that the Kingdom is now a reference for many countries beyond the Mediterranean and Africa.
