Rabat: The Kingdom of Morocco has expressed its support for the recently announced ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the ministry affirmed Morocco’s backing of the upcoming negotiations, which will be facilitated by Pakistan. The Kingdom expressed its hope that these talks will result in enduring peace and enhance stability in the region, while considering the interests of the Arab countries in the Gulf.

The statement further emphasized Morocco’s stance on the significance of maintaining free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in line with international maritime law.
