Rabat: Morocco’s national under-17 women’s football team is set to compete against North Korea next Tuesday in the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which is presently taking place in Morocco.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a security source revealed that a recent check of a suspect’s records in the Interpol database identified him as being internationally wanted under a red notice. This notice was issued by the National Central Bureau in Paris due to his alleged involvement in a criminal network and illegal possession of explosive materials.
The suspect has been placed in police custody as part of the extradition procedure, supervised by the competent public prosecutor. The Interpol National Central Bureau in Rabat, operating under the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), has been assigned the task of notifying its French counterpart regarding the arrest.
This arrest is an element of international security cooperation and underscores the ongoing efforts of the Moroccan
security services, particularly in pursuing individuals wanted internationally for transnational crimes.
