Rabat: The 9th session of the Joint Committee overseeing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Morocco and the U.S. was held Monday in Rabat to discuss ways of strengthening strategic ties and trade exchanges between the two countries.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of the United States Trade Representative and a delegation of senior institutional officials. The discussions aimed at reinforcing the Royal Vision to strengthen Morocco’s national economy and enhance its relations with strategic allies.
Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour emphasized the importance of further bolstering the Rabat-Washington strategic partnership, especially during times of global economic fluctuations. Mezzour highlighted the need for concrete solutions to achieve a better balance in bilateral trade exchanges.
The committee’s discussions also addressed the development of a common vision to streamline trade transactions between Morocco and the U.S. Both sides focused on resolving customs-related issues and facilitating access for a wide range of Moroccan products to enter the US market.
