Morocco Welcomes 13.5 Million Tourists by End of August 2025

Rabat: The summer of 2025 recorded unprecedented performances, with 4.6 million tourists visiting Morocco between July and August 2025, marking a 6% increase compared to the same period in 2024, the ministry said in a statement. The ministry emphasized that Morocco’s tourism sector continues to maintain its momentum.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this summer season was notably marked by the return of Moroccans residing abroad. A total of 3 million Moroccans visited between July and August 2025, which represents a 13% increase compared to the previous summer. This trend highlights both the deep connection Moroccans abroad have with their homeland and Morocco’s ability to attract a significant number of foreign tourists.

These results confirm Morocco’s growing appeal and underscore the effectiveness of the actions outlined in the 2023-2026 Tourism Roadmap. This roadmap focuses on strengthening air connectivity and enhancing the tourism offer by implementing several incentive mechanisms aimed at boosting investment in entertainment and accommodation.

In this context, the ministry highlighted that this performance is particularly notable given that global tourism growth in 2025 is not expected to exceed 5%, based on forecasts by the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).
