Morocco’s Cabinet Reviews Draft Laws and Decrees in Recent Meeting


Rabat: Morocco’s Cabinet convened to discuss and approve a series of draft laws and decrees, setting the stage for their submission to the Council of Ministers. The Head of Government’s department released a statement outlining the meeting’s agenda and outcomes.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the session commenced with a presentation by Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah, focusing on the preparatory measures for drafting the 2026 Finance Bill. The meeting progressed to review several draft organic laws introduced by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit. These included draft organic law No. 53.25, which amends and supplements organic law No. 27.11 concerning the Lower House, and draft organic law No. 54.25, which amends and supplements organic law No. 29.11 on political parties.

In addition, the cabinet approved draft law No. 55.25, which amends and supplements law No. 57.11 related to general electoral lists, referendum operations, and the use of public audiovisual media durin
g election and referendum campaigns. This draft was also presented by the Minister of the Interior.

The cabinet further acknowledged two draft organic laws presented by Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi. These are draft organic law No. 35.24, which establishes the conditions and procedures for challenging the constitutionality of a law in its new version, and draft organic law No. 36.24, which amends and supplements organic law No. 066.13 on the Constitutional Court in its new version.

Lastly, the cabinet noted two draft decrees presented by Abdeltif Loudyi, the Minister delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration. These are draft decree 2.25.841 concerning the special status of civil servants in the General Directorate of Information Systems Security in the National Defense Administration, and draft decree 2.25.842, which amends and supplements decree 2.95.30 of February 26, 1999, regarding the organization and management of the Royal School of Military Health Servic
