Morocco’s Central Bank Maintains Key Rate Unchanged at 2.25%

Rabat: Morocco’s central bank has announced that it will keep its key interest rate steady at 2.25%. The decision was made during the Bank Al-Maghrib’s (BAM) fourth quarterly meeting of 2025, where the board evaluated the current economic conditions.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the board considered the existing rate suitable given the ongoing uncertainties. These uncertainties stem from persistent geo-economic tensions on the international stage and weather-related concerns within Morocco. The central bank emphasized its commitment to monitoring economic developments closely and making decisions based on the latest available data in future meetings.
