Morocco: Fath Union Sport (FUS) from Morocco clinched a place in the final phase of the CAF Women’s Champions League on Monday by defeating Egypt’s FC Masar 3-1 at Bardo Stadium in Tunis. This match marked the third and final contest of the North African Football Union (UNAF) qualifiers.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, FUS’s qualification was secured following two previous victories. They triumphed over Algeria’s FC Akbou with a 4-0 win during the opening matchday and dominated Tunisia’s Association Sportive Féminine de Sousse with a 7-0 victory in the second match.

FUS coach Mehdi El Qaichouri expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance in a conversation with MAP after the game. He acknowledged the challenge posed by a technically skilled and tactically organized Masar side. El Qaichouri noted that despite the difficulties, FUS’s players displayed superior physical endurance in the second half, which contributed significantly to their success.

Odette Gnintegma from FUS was awarded the
best player of the qualifiers, and her teammate Hasnae Ouhatte received the best goalkeeper accolade. With this achievement, FUS joins the defending champions AS FAR, who had already automatically qualified, to represent Morocco in the final phase of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
