Morocco’s Government Actively Monitors Flood Situation, Ensures Prompt Response – Spokesperson


Rabat: Morocco’s government is closely monitoring the latest developments regarding floods in various regions of the Kingdom, stated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas. During a press briefing held after the weekly government council meeting, Baitas emphasized that the government is committed to taking all necessary measures to address the situation comprehensively.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Baitas highlighted that the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, extended his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for His Majesty’s High Solicitude and the instructions given to the Royal Armed Forces (FAR). The Sovereign’s directives ensure the immediate coordination with different actors to oversee evacuation operations and the transportation of citizens affected by the floods.



Baitas further commended the efforts of the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, the National Security, the Auxiliary Forces, the Civil Protection, and public authorities. These entities have been pivotal in safeguarding citizens and ensuring their safety amidst the exceptional climate conditions impacting the nation.
