Morocco’s Head Coach Reveals Squad List Ahead of 2030 World Cup


Rabat: National team coach Mohamed Ouahbi unveiled on Tuesday a list of 26 players and 3 reserves selected ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Morocco will compete in Group C of the World Cup alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the squad includes a diverse mix of talent across all positions. The goalkeeping duties will be managed by Yassine Bounou, Munir El Kajoui, and Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti. The defensive lineup features players such as Noussair Mazraoui, Anas Salah-Eddine, Youssef Bellammari, and Achraf Hakimi, among others.

The midfield boasts the skills of Samir El Mourabet, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Neil El Aynaoui, and Sofyan Amrabat, providing a strong backbone for the team. Forwards like Abdesamad Ezzalzouli, Chemsdine Talbi, Soufiane Rahimi, and Ayoub El Kaabi will be relied upon to deliver goals. The reserves include El Mehdi Al Harrar, Amine Sbai, and Marwane Saadane, ready to
step in if needed.
