Rabat: Morocco’s Health Minister embarked on a comprehensive inspection of hospital services and health projects in the Rabat-Sal©-Kenitra region. This visit aligns with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection’s field inspection program, guided by High Royal Guidelines to ensure all citizens have access to modern, equitable, and high-quality health services.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during the visit, the Minister, Tehraoui, evaluated various hospital services, including care units, specialized medical services, and outpatient structures. This assessment aimed to gauge the quality of services offered and identify areas for improvement to enhance patient care. The ministry highlighted these efforts in a statement, emphasizing the commitment to optimal healthcare delivery.
Tehraoui also examined the preparations for the upcoming official opening of the intensive care unit at Moulay Youssef University Hospital, scheduled for September 15. This unit, equipped with 8 beds and advanced biomedical equipment, is expected to bolster the hospital’s capacity to manage critical cases, thereby reducing the strain on other healthcare facilities in the region.
Further, the Minister reviewed several ongoing health projects in T©mara and Tamesna. At Lalla Acha University Hospital in T©mara, he assessed service operations and improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing care quality for the local community. In Tamesna, he inspected the Proximity Hospital construction site, which is nearing completion. With an investment of 80 million dirhams, this facility will offer 45 beds and cater to over 60,000 residents, significantly enhancing the region’s healthcare offerings.
During his tour, Tehraoui emphasized the importance of adhering to deadlines and technical standards to ensure the quality and longevity of healthcare infrastructure. This visit is part of a national initiative to monitor and support healthcare system modernization projects, in line with reforms designed to improve services for citizens, as concluded in the statement.
