Riyadh: Morocco’s General Director of National Security and Territorial Surveillance has been reappointed as a member of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. This significant reappointment aims to continue efforts in enhancing the University’s vision, particularly in modernizing academic police training curricula. The Supreme Council serves as the high decision-making body of the University, overseeing its scientific, administrative, and financial affairs to achieve optimal objectives in police training and security sciences.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the reappointment was part of a broader session chaired by the Saudi Minister of Interior, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. During this session, the Council members evaluated the mechanisms for implementing the University’s 2025-2029 strategic plan. This plan emphasizes diversifying educational programs, university research activities, and developing academic police training.
The session also highlighted the University’s recent accomplishments, including international accreditation of its training programs from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) in the United States, valid until 2030. Additionally, the University achieved full accreditation for three academic programs from the French High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hc©res). The economic crimes program received recognition from several foreign research institutions, and the master’s program in cybercrime was integrated into Saudi Arabia’s national cybersecurity framework.
In conjunction with these activities, the General Director attended the graduation ceremony for the 43rd cohort of students at the University. This year’s cohort includes 374 students from 11 Arab countries, who completed studies in various police, legal, and technical disciplines. The ceremony was presided over by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, emphasizing the University’s role as the educational arm of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
