Rabat: Morocco’s top prosecutor engaged in discussions with Kenya’s Director for Public Prosecutions to explore the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in February 2023. This MoU aims to enhance cooperation in combating transnational organized crime, focusing on areas such as cybercrime, corruption, money laundering, and human trafficking.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting was part of efforts to strengthen judicial cooperation and bring the MoU between the two nations into action. Both parties agreed to arrange official working visits, initiate joint training programs for public prosecutors from both countries, and organize thematic seminars on shared concerns.
The discussions also reflect the commitment of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to advancing international cooperation in the judicial sector. The aim is to exchange experiences and best practices to improve criminal justice performance and bolster the rule of law.
