Morocco’s U-17 Team Gearing Up for Qatar 2025 Football World Cup with Winning Mindset


Sal©: Speaking at a press conference held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Sal© to unveil the list of players selected for the U-17 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 3 to 27, Mr. Baha emphasized that the U-20 national team’s victory at the World Cup in Chile is a source of additional motivation for the young players to shine in turn at the U-17 World Cup in Qatar, noting that today the national team approaches every match, whether in the World Cup, the African Cup of Nations, or a friendly, with a winning mentality.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the national team, made up of 21 players, will start the World Cup in Qatar with enthusiasm and optimism, especially after winning the African championship, he said, adding that the African title is above all a responsibility before being a source of pride.



He said that the U-17 national team aims to go as far as possible in the competition, stressing that it will be no easy task given the high level of the teams participating in this edition, which will feature 48 teams.



He recalled that Morocco is in Group B alongside Japan, Portugal, and New Caledonia, noting that these teams represent major footballing nations.



He also noted that Morocco now has significant potential, high-level infrastructure, and players playing for major clubs, adding that ‘this requires us to be competitive and always aim for the highest levels in all competitions.’



The Moroccan U-17 team will begin a training camp in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, during which it will play two friendly matches, the first against Venezuela on October 25 and the second against Switzerland on October 29.
