Morocco’s Upper House Adopts 2026 Finance Bill


Madrid: Morocco’s House of Councillors adopted Thursday by a majority vote the entire draft finance bill (PLF) No. 50.25 for the 2026 fiscal year. During a plenary session attended by Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget Fouzi Lekjaa, the bill was adopted by 36 votes in favor, 12 against, and 6 abstentions.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, earlier in the day, the House of Councillors had adopted the first part of the finance bill by a majority vote. The 2026 draft finance bill will be forwarded to the House of Representatives for review and a vote in a second reading.
