New Israeli massacre in Gaza claims 18 lives in airstrike on mosque

Gaza: A tragic airstrike by Israeli occupation forces in the early hours of Sunday has resulted in the murder of at least 18 Palestinians, with dozens more injured, in yet another horrific massacre against displaced families in Dier al-Balah, central Gaza.

Medical sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a mosque sheltering displaced families near al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The strike resulted in at least 18 fatalities and numerous injuries among the displaced population, with some children’s bodies arriving at the hospital with severe mutilations and others even beheaded.

Healthcare workers are facing overwhelming challenges, as they try to prioritize treatment for the critically injured while grappling with a severe shortage of medical supplies and medications needed for care.

Earlier in the night, two additional civilians, including an infant girl, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza. Medical officials confirmed that the attack struck a home belonging to the Masri
family, resulting in multiple injuries among eleven people.

Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes continued to carry out dozens of strikes across northern Gaza, leading to a rising toll of casualties, with many of the victims being children.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in 41,825 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 96,910 individuals sustaining injuries, the majority of whom are women and children.

Thousands are also feared dead under the rubble of destroyed structures across the war-torn enclave, with civil defense teams and emergency services unable to reach several areas due to safety concerns amid the indiscriminate Israeli attacks.
