Nuclear Energy Summit: Morocco’s Head of Govt Attends Dinner Hosted by Macron in Honor of World Leaders


Paris: Morocco’s Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, representing His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the World Nuclear Energy Summit, attended a dinner on Tuesday at the Elys©e Palace hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron in honor of the participating heads of state and government.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Moroccan delegation at this summit notably included Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security (AMSSNuR) Sad Mouline, Director General of the National Center for Energy, Sciences and Nuclear Techniques (CNESTEN) Hamid Marah, as well as the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitail.



During this dinner-which was also attended by representatives of international organizations, French nuclear industry stakeholders, and several energy investors and operators-discussions focused on several themes. These included the development of civil nuclear energy, project financing, new uses for low-carbon electricity and heat, the organization of industrial value chains, and the security of nuclear fuel supply.
