OIC Secretary-General Receives Congratulations from Moroccan Foreign Minister


Jeddah: H.E. Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), received a letter of congratulations from H.E. Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, on the occasion of his election as the new Secretary-General of the Organization.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Foreign Minister conveyed his sincere congratulations to H.E. the Secretary-General, wishing him success in the discharge of his responsibilities. He emphasized that Mr. Ahmed’s unanimous election reflects the confidence placed in him by the OIC Member States, acknowledging his diplomatic experience and professional career in regional and international affairs.

The Foreign Minister also highlighted Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed’s extensive knowledge and understanding of issues concerning the Muslim world. He reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to support joint Islamic action and strengthen bonds of solida
rity and cooperation among OIC Member States, aiming to serve the causes of the Muslim Ummah and advance the aspirations of its peoples.
