On High Royal Instructions, Morocco’s Top Defense Official Receives French Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans


aRabat: On the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in Charge of National Defense Administration, Abdeltif Loudyi, received, on Thursday at the Administration’s Headquarters, in the presence of Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, the French Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans, Catherine Vautrin, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco as part of the 15th Morocco-France High Level Meeting.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this visit, which falls within the framework of bolstering and diversifying bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, was marked by the signing of a Technical Arrangement and a Memorandum on cooperation in the field of defense industry, the National Defense Administration said in a statement.



On the occasion of this meeting, the two officials welcomed the excellent ties of friendship between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, and the high level of bilateral military cooperation, which has experienced new momentum since the signing of the Declaration on the Reinforced Exceptional Partnership by His Majesty the King and the President of the French Republic, during the State visit paid by the latter to Morocco in October 2024. They also explored bilateral and regional issues, as well as the means to bolster and diversify cooperation in the military field.



At the close of the meeting, the two officials expressed the mutual ambition and determination to bolster these relations through the implementation of a legal arsenal in the field of defense industry signed today, reflecting the relations of friendship and mutual respect between the two countries, the statement concludes.
