Palestinian citizen injured in attack by colonists south of Nablus

NABLUS: A Palestinian citizen was injured early this morning following an assault by Israeli colonists near the Awarta checkpoint, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

Abdel Wahab Shtayyeh, a resident of the village of Salem, reported to WAFA that colonists obstructed his vehicle on the road close to the checkpoint. He said the assailants shattered both the front and side windows of his car and attacked him with sticks and stones.

The assault resulted in a retinal tear and shoulder bruises. Shtayyeh was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
