Palestinian FM Expresses Thanks to HM the King for His Efforts in Support of Palestinian Cause, Two-State Solution

Rabat: During a press briefing on the sidelines of the Fifth Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, the Palestinian minister expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King for his efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause and the two-state solution. The minister highlighted that holding the meeting in Morocco is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to make the State of Palestine a concrete reality.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Palestinian minister emphasized their reliance on such meetings, especially during a critical period for Palestine. She noted that the meeting would contribute to achieving the two-state solution and enrich the work of the high-level conference on the two-state solution, scheduled to occur at the UN headquarters in New York next June.

Co-hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the meeting is themed “Sustaining Momentum for the Peace Process: Lessons Learned, Success Stories and Steps Forward.” It gathers government officials and representatives from around 50 countries and international organizations committed to the Two-State Solution.

The meeting’s objectives include assessing efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, highlighting successes in the area, and drawing appropriate lessons for concrete, time-bound measures to relaunch the Two-State solution. Additionally, the meeting will explore ways to build the Palestinian economy.

The meeting’s work is divided into three thematic sessions: the impact of peace processes in the Middle East, efforts to support the governance structures of the Palestinian state, and the economic foundations of peace in the region.
