Palestinian teenager injured by shrapnel from Israeli forces’ live fire during ongoing military assault on city of Tulkarem

TULKAREM: A Palestinian teenager was injured tonight on Monday by shrapnel from Israeli forces’ live fire during the ongoing military assault on the city of Tulkarem and its camp. and camp.

The director of ambulance and emergencies at the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Tulkarem, Ra’ed Yassin, told WAFA that the ambulance crews dealt with the injury of a 12-year-old girl who was struck with live bullet fragments while she was at her home in the eastern part of the city.

The girl was transferred to hospital for medical treatment.

He said the occupation forces stationed at the entrance of the hospital stopped the ambulance and forced its crew to open its doors to see who was inside before the crew was able to take the child to the hospital emergency room.

PRCS said that the occupation continues to siege hospitals and impose a tight siege on the Tulkarem camp, amid massive destruction to infrastructure and houses.

Large military forces, accompanied by heavy machinery and bulldozers, stormed the cit
y of Tulkarem from its western entrance today at noon and besieged two hospitals.

The occupation forces launched an aggression on the city of Tulkarem and its camps last Wednesday at dawn. The military assault lasted for 48 hours, and resulted in the killing of four citizens and the injury of several others, in addition to significant damage to infrastructure and properties of citizens.
