Rabat: Participants in the 17th edition of the summer camps organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency for the benefit of Al-Quds children expressed their gratitude for the high solicitude extended to them by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and their pride in the initiatives undertaken by the Sovereign for the benefit of the inhabitants of Al-Quds, particularly children and young people.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, in statements to the press following their reception by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, on the instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, they expressed their great joy at being received by Her Royal Highness, stressing that this generous Royal attention reflects Moroccan hospitality and the spirit of solidarity deeply rooted among the Moroccan people.
In this regard, the Al-Quds supervisors accompanying the children as part of this summer school praised the activities offered during this edition, which constitutes a rich cultural and human experience, enabling them to discover the Kingdom’s civilization and its centuries-old history.
On this occasion, supervisor Adam Khouiss highlighted the quality of the organization, as well as the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them throughout their travels, expressing his admiration for the beauty of Moroccan cities and their distinctive architecture.
For her part, supervisor Zahra Abou Tair noted that these summer camps succeeded in building bridges of dialogue between Palestinian and Moroccan children, thereby contributing to cultural exchanges and the creation of new friendships. She also mentioned the discovery of ancestral Moroccan customs and traditions, saying she was particularly amazed by the Moroccan caftan and the Kingdom’s rich cuisine.
The children, for their part, expressed their gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for this Royal initiative, which enabled them to live a rich experience and gave them the opportunity to learn more about Moroccan heritage through a diverse cultural and tourist program, including visits to several historic and coastal cities.
The participating children, aged between 11 and 14, benefited from a range of activities and events, including educational visits to several cities and historic sites, artistic and sports competitions, recreational games, as well as exchange and discovery meetings with their Moroccan counterparts.
Launched in 2008, the summer camps for the benefit of Al-Quds children are part of the socio-educational programs carried out annually by the Agency, aimed at developing the capacities of children and young people, strengthening cultural dialogue and promoting exchanges with their peers in Morocco.
Every year, the children of Al-Quds join the Moroccan people in celebrating national holidays that coincide with their presence in Morocco, through artistic performances during which they sing the Moroccan national anthem as well as selected songs from the national musical repertoire, accompanied by dances inspired by Palestinian heritage.
