Partnership Agreement Between Morocco’s AMPCPP & French Departments’ Association

Albi: A partnership agreement has been established between Morocco’s AMPCPP and the Association of Departments of France, following the participation of an AMPCPP delegation in a forum held in Albi on November 12-13. The agreement outlines joint action areas and strategies to facilitate partnerships between Moroccan and French councils to implement projects benefiting the population.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the forum coincided with the general assembly of the Association of Departments of France, which saw participation from an AMPCPP delegation led by its president and executive bureau members. This initiative is part of the ongoing bilateral cooperation, which began with a visit to Morocco in June by the president of the French association and a delegation that toured Rabat, Salé, Skhirat-Temara, and Tangier.

The visit aimed to explore partnership and cooperation opportunities within their respective prerogatives. During their stay, the French delegation also visited several social establ
ishments. The Moroccan delegation participated in various workshops at the Albi forum, covering topics such as digitalization, road networks, employment, and regional heritage management.

The French association has been invited to hold its next meeting in Morocco’s Dakhla, providing an opportunity for the French participants to observe the development dynamics of Morocco’s southern provinces under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. Additionally, Moroccan delegation members engaged in bilateral meetings with their French counterparts to discuss objectives and the evolution of Morocco’s decentralization and local democracy.

These meetings also focused on establishing cooperation to exchange experiences and expertise in areas of mutual interest, aligning with the roles and responsibilities of the territorial entities involved.
