Passenger Traffic Reaches 24 Million at Moroccan Airports Over Eight Months

Rabat: Passenger traffic at Moroccan airports has reached 24 million over the first eight months of the year.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, international passenger traffic saw an increase of 11.2%, while domestic traffic experienced a rise of 15.8%.

This growth in passenger numbers is largely attributed to increased air travel to European destinations, followed by routes to the Middle East, North and South America, Africa, and Maghreb countries. The expansion of these routes has contributed significantly to the overall rise in traffic.

In addition to passenger numbers, air freight traffic has also seen growth, climbing by 8.6% by the end of the first eight months of the year. This indicates a strengthening in both the passenger and freight sectors of Moroccan aviation.
