PM Mustafa participates in Arab-Islamic Committee Meeting on halting Israeli aggression on Gaza


NEW YORK: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mohammad Mustafa, took part in the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee meeting which is tasked with international action to halt the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Mustafa emphasized the need to implement the resolution submitted by the State of Palestine and adopted by the UN General Assembly which demanded the end of Israel’s illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, in accordance with the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice on the Illegality of the Israeli occupation and the need to end it as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian government and its plans for the reconstruction of Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip, immediately after ending the occupation’s aggression.

This meeting followed a recent session of the co
mmittee in Jordan, where developments in the region and efforts to stop Israeli aggression on Gaza and the escalation in the West Bank were discussed.

The Prime Minister is set to hold additional meetings on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly to mobilize international support to end the aggression against Palestinians, coordinate positions and strengthen joint cooperation.
