RAMALLAH: Prime Minister Mohamed Mustafa discussed today with the Dutch envoy for humanitarian affairs in Gaza, Ambassador Marjanne de Kwaasteniet, the importance of intensifying efforts and coordination to accelerate the entry of relief and medical aid to the Gaza Strip through all methods and to pressure to open more crossings with the Strip.
During his meeting with the Dutch envoy Kwastnet in his office in Ramallah, Mustafa reiterated the need for joint coordination with the government and relevant ministries, with the aim of integrating efforts and making maximum use of available resources to meet the urgent needs of the people in the Gaza Strip,
He further stressed the urgent need accelerate the entry of aid through the Jordanian corridor or through the West Bank to the Gaza Strip and ensuring its delivery to all areas of the Strip.
The Prime Minister briefed the Dutch envoy on the government’s efforts and the plans it is preparing for relief, reconstruction and recovery in the Gaza Strip, reintegrati
ng and unifying institutions, and restoring basic services, through joint coordination with the World Bank, the European Union and donors.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Social Development Samah Hamad, Minister of State for Relief Affairs Basil Nasser, and Representative of the Netherlands to Palestine Michel Rentenaar.
