PYU President Hails HM King Mohammed VI’s Commitment to Youth


Addis Ababa: The President of the Pan-African Youth Union (PYU), Moumouni Dialla, on Thursday praised HM King Mohammed VI’s leadership and commitment to youth issues, highlighting Morocco’s key role in supporting the organization.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Dialla remarked on the significant importance that His Majesty the King places on youth issues. His comments were made on the sidelines of the 2025 Pan-African Youth Leadership Summit, which commenced in Addis Ababa. Dialla also expressed gratitude towards Morocco, which hosts the PYU headquarters, acknowledging the Kingdom as the Union’s largest partner.



He emphasized that due to Morocco’s backing, the PYU plays a central role across Africa, fostering an ecosystem that promotes development for Africans in general and young people in particular. Dialla highlighted the crucial role of youth engagement in promoting African unity and building a prosperous, united, and developed continent.



The summit, co-organized by the Ethiopian government and the PYU, aims to enhance youth participation in peacebuilding efforts and continental development. Key discussions will focus on diplomacy, economic empowerment, and Africa’s role on the global stage.
