The ceremony also featured the ceremonious presentation of the participating national teams’ flags.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the official anthem of the tournament, aptly titled “Marhba Bik,” was also masterfully performed during the course of the evening’s festivities.

As the first-ever FIFA women’s competition to be hosted in a North African nation, this tournament convenes the 24 premier U-17 women’s national squads, journeying from the four corners of the globe, to vie for the coveted supreme title across several Moroccan cities, including the capital, Rabat.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) had previously unveiled “Tila” on Monday, the official mascot for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Tila embodies the sleek, natural elegance of a caracal, a spe
cies of wild cat indigenous to numerous countries, notably including Morocco.

Morocco finds itself anchored in the formidable Group A. This highly competitive bracket comprises powerhouse nations already accustomed to distinction within the competition: namely, Brazil, Italy, and Costa Rica.
