Rabat:Rabat-Salé Airport has introduced a new self-service baggage drop system at Terminal 2 specifically for Ryanair passengers. This development comes after the initial implementation of the system by Royal Air Maroc at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the self-service system allows passengers to independently drop off their checked baggage after completing check-in procedures. This innovation is expected to significantly reduce processing time by 50% to 75%, based on operational estimates.

The new technology is anticipated to benefit nearly two-thirds of passenger traffic across Morocco’s airports by minimizing queues and streamlining airport processes. This initiative is part of a broader effort by Airports of Morocco to enhance operational efficiency and improve the passenger experience through digital solutions, such as mobile boarding passes and the Pax Check system.
