Rabat to Host 11th Visa for Music Festival.


Rabat: Visa For Music, the must-attend event for African and Middle Eastern music, will be making waves in the city of Rabat for its 11th edition scheduled on November 20-23. Over 1,000 music industry professionals and more than 500 artists from all corners of the globe are expected to attend this exceptional event, the organizers said in a press release.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the festival, a veritable crossroads for actors on the music scene, offers a program tailored to music lovers and the curious in search of new discoveries, with meetings, showcases, conferences, and workshops spread across various emblematic venues in the city of Rabat, all within easy reach of each other, the same source added.

This organization allows the public to enjoy an immersive experience and discover the various components of the program. The opening evening, to be held at Rabat’s Mohammed V Theater, will be marked by tributes, followed by three free concerts by Tasuta N-Imal, Ferro Gaita, and Valerie Ekoum
e, three artists with unique styles, promising to set the Visa For Music stage alight with an explosive mix of revisited traditional sounds and bold modernity, the same source added.

A new feature of this year’s event is ‘Chellah’s afters,’ with evenings hosted by renowned artists such as RJ Kanierra, Omary, and Monile. This year, ExpoStand, Visa for Music’s professional trade show, will open its doors from November 21 to 23 at the Thé Stre Mohammed V. Over 50 exhibitors will be presenting their country’s music industry, festivals, production companies, and labels.
