Rabat to Host 23rd Meeting of Economic Advisors to OIC Embassies in Morocco


Rabat: The 23rd meeting of Economic Advisors to the Embassies of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) accredited to Morocco is set to take place on January 23 in Rabat. The Islamic Center for Development of Trade (ICDT) has announced the event.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this annual meeting, organized by ICDT, aims to facilitate discussions with Economic Counsellors from OIC countries’ embassies in Rabat. The focus will be on the Centre’s activities and projects planned for 2025, while also proposing joint activities for the upcoming year.



The meeting will address the latest developments in international trade and explore prospects for intra-OIC trade. It will also review ICDT’s programs, including the Trade and Investment Promotion Program, the Trade Facilitation Program, the SME and Institutional Capacity Building Program, and the Economic Intelligence Program, among others.



ICDT executives, partners, and representatives from countries organizing ICDT’s fairs and exhibitions in 2025, such as Chad, Senegal, Uganda, Benin, Cameroon, and Comoros, will chair the meeting.



Economic Advisors from the embassies of OIC member states in Morocco will attend, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Senegal’s Ministry of Health, Solidarity and Social Action.



The gathering will also welcome representatives from international and regional organizations in the economic and trade sectors, as well as relevant Moroccan institutions.
