Researchers and academics in Rabat stressed, on Thursday in a meeting held by the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRT), the importance of the Morocco-Quebec cooperation in scientific research and training.
This cooperation draws its importance from being a vector for the development of knowledge societies and the progress of countries, stressed the participants of meeting organized with the collaboration of the Quebec Office in Rabat.
The development of scientific research and training in areas such as innovation, artificial intelligence, health and agriculture, as well as the management of water resources and the circular economy, contribute to the good management of the challenges facing the world as a whole, thet stressed.
In this context, the speakers stressed the importance of cooperation between institutions, research centers and universities, which is dictated by the internationalization of science and technology and the mobility of researchers.
In her speech, CNRT Director Jamila El Alami pointed out that this scientific day can only strengthen the deep-rooted and age-old relations between the two countries and will be a further demonstration of the ever-evolving bilateral cooperation.
For her part, Hélène Drainville, Assistant Deputy Minister of the Quebec Ministry of International Relations and the Francophonie, noted that the Kingdom of Morocco is a “key partner” for Quebec in Africa in the field of education and higher education.
