El Jadida:The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) are participating in the 17th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show, which is set to take place from October 13 to 18, 2026, at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the FAR are executing the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, who is the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff. As part of their participation, the FAR’s Directorate of Military History will present a historical exhibition titled “Horsemen of the Mehallas of Sultan Moulay Hassan I.”
Visitors to the exhibition can explore the history of the Sultan’s Mehallas, with a focus on Sultan Moulay Hassan I, who was dedicated to serving his country and ensuring its stability, sovereignty, and independence. This mission is continued by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The exhibition features a variety of materials, including documents, manuscripts, historical accounts, audiovisual projections, 3D animations, and museum artifacts. These elements highlight the period when Sultan Moulay Hassan I ruled the Kingdom on horseback, using the horse as a tool for administration and military reform, and as a connection between Morocco and its African hinterland.
Additionally, the FAR Cavalry Inspectorate will contribute to the event by showcasing “The Horse within the FAR A Comrade-in-Arms in the Service of the Nation,” alongside organizing live demonstrations that include equestrian performances and children’s activities.
