Safran Landing Gear Plant in Nouaceur Signals Growth for Moroccan Aerospace Industry


Casablanca: The launch of the Safran Group’s project to build a landing gear production plant in Nouaceur marks a new milestone in the development of the national aerospace industry, said Minister Delegate for Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, Karim Zidane. In a statement to the press at the project’s presentation and launch ceremony, presided over by His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, Zidane emphasized that this new factory, which will reinforce Morocco’s pioneering position in this field, will create 500 jobs for highly skilled young Moroccans.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this project will further reinforce Morocco’s reputation as an attractive destination for investment, as well as a country of excellence and cutting-edge industries. Zidane noted that this milestone “marks a successful start on the road to achieving the goal of manufacturing a 100% Made in Morocco aircraft.”

Zidane also highlighted that Morocco is establishing itself as a pre
ferred destination for investment, owing to its modern infrastructure and skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of cutting-edge industries. This momentum aligns with the policies initiated by HM King Mohammed VI, aimed at making Morocco a hub for modern, high value-added industries of the future.
