Samsung Unveils ‘AI Home: Future Living, Now’ Vision at IFA 2025

Berlin: Samsung Electronics has introduced its vision for the future of home living with the unveiling of ‘AI Home: Future Living, Now’ at the Innovation For All (IFA) event. Samsung’s new concept is designed to bring the benefits of artificial intelligence into everyday life, making it accessible and practical for everyone today.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating AI into daily life. He stated that Samsung’s AI Home goes beyond smart devices, creating homes that understand, adapt, and care for users’ needs. This initiative marks the beginning of a new era where technology supports life discreetly, allowing individuals to focus more on living.

Samsung research indicates that 66% of consumers are attracted to the idea of an AI-enabled home, with many hoping for more streamlined daily tasks and greater control via phone or voice commands. AI Home aims to fulfill these desires through SmartThings automated routines, which can manage lighting, temperature, and even synchronize blinds with the weather to enhance convenience.

The AI Home concept is further designed to support family interactions by offering wellness checks, personalized sleep settings, and nutrition planning. Energy efficiency also stands out as a significant feature, with 66% of consumers believing that AI can help track costs and save money. The SmartThings Energy component of AI Home can notably reduce washing machine energy consumption by up to 70%.

Security is another critical aspect, with 40% of consumers expecting AI to enhance home protection through timely alerts. Samsung addresses this with Knox Vault, which safeguards sensitive data at the hardware level, while Knox Matrix provides comprehensive security across connected devices.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI appliances extend AI capabilities into the kitchen and other spaces. The Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum cleaner now features improved object recognition, including the detection of transparent liquids. The Bespoke AI Washer offers an enhanced laundry experience with AI Wash+, achieving significant energy efficiency. Additionally, the Bespoke AI Dishwasher optimizes cleaning cycles based on dish dirtiness, while the Extractor Induction Hob integrates space-saving features.

In entertainment, Samsung’s Vision AI Companion provides an engaging experience, redefining home entertainment. Samsung’s collaboration with global AI leaders like Google, Microsoft, and Perplexity underscores its commitment to an open platform approach.

The event also highlighted Samsung’s latest innovations, including the Micro RGB TV with a 115-inch display for cinema-quality visuals, The Movingstyle portable touchscreen TV with adaptive AI, and the Samsung Sound Tower, which offers powerful, portable sound with customizable lighting and sound effects.

Samsung is also expanding its Galaxy AI capabilities, starting with the Galaxy S24 series, aiming to democratize AI across over 200 million devices in 2024 and reaching 400 million devices by the end of 2025.
